John David Rye

John David Rye of Russellville left his earthly home for heaven on Friday, January 18, 2019. John was born on January 24, 1957 to Marcus and Ellen Rye. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jerry Rye. John was a Lonoke farmer and businessman for the majority of his life before retiring to Russellville to enjoy precious time with his beloved family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and his favorite time was spent on Falling Water. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Karol Rye of Russellville, Ark., one son, Jake (Brooke) and one daughter Audrey Rye, two granddaughters, Merritt Rye and Karoline Lee, two sisters, Linda Sowell and Jo Ellen Brumett, and one nephew, Mark Rye. He also leaves a multitude of close friends. Services are being handled by Humphrey Funeral Home in Russellville. Visitation will be held at Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 9:00 am with funeral services to follow at 10:00 am. There will be burial services at Moore Cemetery in Ben Hur.
