James David Henry, 86, of Greenbrier, formally of Sherwood, passed away June 29, 2019. He was born January 18, 1933, in Williford, Ark., to the late David Henderson and Tobitha Viola Henry. James was a 1951 graduate of Williford High School, received his Bachelor of Science from Arkansas State College in 1962, and his Master of Public Health from The University of Michigan in 1966. He retired with 30 years from the Arkansas State Health Department. James served in the US Army during the Korean war in Germany. He loved music especially playing the guitar, bass, fiddle, and even mandolin; James enjoyed volunteering to play for veterans and traveled with a band from the VA Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Elva Henry; two nieces; nephew; cousins and several more family and friends. James was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. Graveside Service will be 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Martinville Cemetery with Bro. Bob Robinson officiating. Online Guestbook available at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/greenbrier
