Dorothy Mae Armstrong Snuggs, 83, of Mayflower, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 2, 2019. She was born February 1, 1936, in Cato, Ark., to the late Floyd Arlandis Armstrong and Bessie Mae (Martin) Armstrong. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Johnny Fay Snuggs, one son, Alan Lee Snuggs and one brother, Alfred Jesse (AJ) Armstrong. Dorothy is survived by one son, Joseph Kent Snuggs and one daughter, Anna Johnette (Snuggs) Reynolds (Sammy) all of Mayflower; grandchildren, Stephen Michael Reynolds and Christopher Alan Reynolds; one sister, Edna Faye Williams of Kennett, Mo.; two nieces, LaDon Williams of St. Louis, Mo.; and Tina Proudfit of Jackson, Tenn.; and numerous cousins and extended family. Dorothy was a faithful member of Community of Christ (RLDS) and a graduate of Kennett High School. She was employed for over 15 years as a reading teacher at the Mayflower School District at both the High School and Elementary. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting and reading. Her life was filled with her 20 years of service as a Navy wife, traveling around the United States and the world. Dorothy's life revolved around her children, her grandchildren, her church family, and her students and many friends at Mayflower schools. She brought caring and love to all who knew her. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, July 5th at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
