Jimmie F. Norwine, 86, of Conway, Ark., died on July 2, 2019. He was born February 26, 1933, in Ames, Okla., to the late Fred R. and Stella May (Gibson) Norwine. Jimmie was also preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Willie "Billie" Norwine; five brothers, Raymond, Roy Robert, Freddie "Fritz" and Richard; three sisters, Ruby Neueschwander, Rose Norwine, and Ruth Ann Patterson. Jimmie attended Conway High School. He also spent 2 years in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany and served 10 years in the National Guard. He played football and was on the boxing team overseas. The army sent him to radio repair school. He was an Extra Class Amateur Radio operator, Call W5C5. Jimmie was a life member of 10-10 International Radio, Bass Masters and The National Rifle Association. He loved to shoot, both target and trap, hunt and fish. He was a faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church in Conway.He was also a Master Mason, member of Gran Grove Lodge 107 here in Conway and a 32nd degree member in Little Rock. Left to cherish his memory is his loving family; son, Danny Young of Conway; daughter, Anita Morris (Bob) also of Conway; grandchildren, David Morris, Michael Morris, Shelley Wright, Hallie Young, Emily Stiener, and Danielle Young; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., on Friday, July 5, 2019, at Grace United Methodist Church in Conway, Ark. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
