Jerry Allen Davis

Jerry Allen Davis, 72, of Huntsville; died Thursday, July 25, 2019, at Fayetteville. He was born January 24, 1947, at Fayetteville, to Thomas and Georgia Brooks Davis. Jerry married Frances Hathorn in Dothan, Ala., on April 14, 1975; and they were parents to two children. He served his country in the US Air Force, and was a firefighter, farmer, and carpenter. Jerry loved his family, and his grandchildren were the pride of his life. He also loved his church family and was a member of Living Waters Baptist Church and attended West Side Freewill Baptist Church in Springdale. Jerry was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Tommy Davis and Jimmy Davis. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Coleman and Melissa Davis of Huntsville; one daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Kevin Sutton of Wichita, Kan.; one sister, Patsy Hooper, and seven grandchildren. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Monday, July 29, 2019, at Brashears Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at Westside Freewill Baptist Church, with Brother Paul Payne and Brother Gary Faulkner officiating. Pallbearers will be David Carey, Wayne Vanhook, Butch Fancher, Dwight Taylor, Jack Boudrey, Steve Drain, Junior Hoole, LW Cruickshank, Bob Farris, and Cliff Fancher. Honorary pallbearers are Dawson Davis, Gunner Davis, Braxton Davis, Nash Davis, Easton Sutton, Ryan Sutton, and Chloe Sutton. Interment will immediately follow services at Elm Springs, Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
