J. Chyrel Banks

J Chyrel Banks, 70, of Fayetteville passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019, at her son's home in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born October 11, 1948, in Fayetteville, Arkansas to J.J. Banks and AliceDean Weathers Banks. Chyrel retired from the University of Arkansas Library and spent a full life honestly seeking God, truth and understanding. She was an amazing philosophical independent woman who raised her three children as a single parent. She inspired more souls than she could have ever imagined. She was preceded in death by her parents, one niece, Wyndee Haley, and one foster daughter, Ginger Howard. Survivors include two sons, Arthur Banks of Kansas City, Mo. and J.J. Banks of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Jeff Banks and (Patsy) of Springdale; one sister, Jaylon Haley and (Ron) of Springdale; as well as two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 15 at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Salvation Army Church in Fayetteville.
