James C. Blewster

Col. James C. Blewster passed away April 6, 2019 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was born Oct, 20, 1930 in Magnolia, Arkansas. Col. Blewster lived in Magnolia until he received his appointment to West Point Military Academy in 1952-1956. After which, he served as a combat pilot for three tours in the Vietnam conflict. Later, Col. Blewster became base commander at Fort Story in Virginia Beach, Va. He later served at the Pentagon and completed his service to the country as the commander United States Pacific Army at Fort Schoefield in Honolulu. Col. Blewster is preceded in death by his wife, Waydean Blewster, and his daughter, Shelia Fines. He is survived by his son, Jimmy Blewster and his two grandchildren, Micah and David Fines. We thank him for his dedication and service to his country.
