Regina M. Wilk Pruss, age 91, left this earth to meet our Lord on June 25, 2019. She was a lifetime member of the Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, Marche. She is survived by her son, Marion (Rita) Pruss, daughters, Rose (David) Roswell and Anna Ranney. Her eight grandchildren: Martin (Shannon) Roswell, Valerie Hennessey, John (Christina) Pruss, Amelia (Morris) Richmond, Julie Pruss, Angeline (Spencer) Huey, Joanie Pruss, and Rachael Ranney. Her eight great-grandchildren: James and Marissa Hennessey, Seth and Alexis Roswell, Claire Richmond, Emma, Spencer Jr. and Christopher Huey, and one more on the way. Regina is also survived by her sister, Christine (Joe) Gubanski. Preceding her in death were her parents Jacob and Anna Wilk, husband of 53 years, Joseph A. Pruss, and her son, Joseph Pruss Jr. Her sisters, Margaret Raines, Rosie and Lucille Wilk, and brothers, Paul and David Wilk. During her life, she worked at Tuf-Nut garment factory. She was a member of the Cursillo, Rosary Sodality, DAV Auxiliary, Arkansas League of Artists. She served as Sacristan for Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for many years. Regina maintained candles, set up linens, and set out missalettes for holy days, baptisms, weddings, and funerals serving under Msgr. Thomas Prendergast, Father Edward McCormick, Father Albert Schneider, and Msgr. Bernard Malone. She planted flowers in her garden and yard, then eventually saw them used in arrangements on the Altar Sunday mornings. She was talented in making beautiful handmade crafts and participated in many craft shows. Regina was known for crocheting the tops of countless kitchen towels and donating them parish's school Karanawal craft booth as well as gifting them to friends and family. Regina was a kind, caring, and gentle mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was happiest when her babies, young and old, were near her. She will be greatly missed by all her children, especially grandchildren, who have fond memories of spending time with Grandmother Pruss growing up. She is remembered for setting a good example of how to live a fulfilling Christian life by selflessly giving her time and resources to the benefit of others. A Visitation will be held at North Little Rock Funeral Home Friday, June 28, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church on Saturday, June 29 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery. www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
