Bryan Runsick

Mr. Bryan Runsick of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, June 27, 2019. He was born July 2, 1938, the son of Herbert Bryan and Ruby Nell (Smith) Runsick. Mr. Runsick was a graduate of Swifton High School, and earned Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Science from Arkansas State University. He worked at Swifton High School as a teacher, counselor, and basketball coach. Mr. Runsick also spent his life doing what he loved…farming as Runsick Farms. He was a member of the Swifton First Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and taught Sunday School. Mr. Runsick was active in the local community, serving on the Swifton School Board, the Farmers Electric Board of Directors, and ASCS Board. He enjoyed flying, and played guitar, piano, and fiddle. Mr. Runsick was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judy (Johnson) Runsick of the home; two sons, Jason Runsick and wife, Melanie, of Jonesboro, and Jonathan Runsick and wife, Crystal, of Swifton; two step-sons, David Aaron Hulett, and Jason Adam Hulett, both of Swifton; one grandson, Griffin Runsick of Jonesboro; one step-grandson, Wade Aaron Hulett of Swifton; two brothers, Jack Runsick and wife, Kay, of Wynne, and Jerry Runsick and wife, Nadine, of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends. Friends may visit at the funeral home, Sunday, 5-7 p.m. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday, at Swifton First Baptist Church, with interment in Stranger's Home Cemetery. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Griffin Runsick, Wade Hulett, Chris Smith, Johnny Haskett, Chad Runsick, Shannon Runsick, and Jeff Runsick.
