Veora Joann Owens Saunders

Veora Joann Owens Saunders, age 75 formerly of Wrightsville, Ark. and Kansas City, Missouri passed peacefully Sunday, February 24, 2019 in Darby, Philadelphia. Known to family and close friends as Vee, she was born on January 7, 1944 in Tarry, Arkansas the 5th child of 13 to the late Robert Ezell and Zeola Owens. Along with her parents, Veora is preceded in death by her grandson, Carlos KeShawn Johnson; four brothers, Earl Owens, Veotis Owens, Jimmy Owens and Floyd Owens. Veora leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Veronica LaShaun Saunders, seven sisters, Gladys White, Quintella Jones, Margaret Hadley, Linda Owens, Pecolia Owens, Bridgett Norman and Tracy Owens; one brother, Spencer Owens. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Mother Bethel A.M.E. Church, 419 S. 6th Street, Philadelphia, Pa. 19147. Arrangements by Marvil Funeral Home, 1110 Main St., Darby, Pa.
