James Harrington

James Harrington, 66, of Elkins, formerly of Greenbrier, passed away, February 27, 2019. He was born April 20, 1952 in Conway, to the late J.C. and Alma Joyce Harrington. He was a welder, a builder, and an engineer who designed fire protection systems to prevent fires for Dunk Sprinkler Systems and later Simplex Grinnel. He was a co-founder of the Arkansas Fire Sprinkler Association, and in June of 2014, he was presented the founding member award in appreciation of his efforts and sacrifices to create that association known as ARFSA. James was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Noah Harrington. James is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sandra Harrington, son, Jason Harrington, two daughters, Amy Harrington and Heather Porter, thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three sisters, Anna Talley, Nancy Glascott and Mona Brewczynski, brother, Nathan Harrington and many more nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Funeral Service will be Monday, March 4, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Roller McNutt with Burial following at Republican Cemetery in Greenbrier.
