Ruth Copeland

Ruth Copeland, 94, of Searcy, Arkansas gained her heavenly wings on March 7, 2019 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro Arkansas. She was born to the late Vernon and Mabel Elrod Pearson on November 22, 1924. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 48 years Ralph Copeland, one sister, Bobbie Nelson, and one brother Kenneth Pearson. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Judy Copeland, two grandsons Rodney and Reginald Harris, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Donna Pearson, and a host of other relatives and friends. Ruth was a godly woman that loved her family, she helped raise her nieces Regina Ferguson and Evelyn Godinez, ministry was her life, she and Ralph pastored together for 48 years until his death in 1989 then Ruth became an ordained minister in order to carry on the ministry and spread the word of God. A visitation will be held Monday, March 8, 2019, at the First Assembly of God Church in Searcy, Arkansas from 10-11 a.m. with service to follow immediately after at 11 a.m. Interment will be at White County Memorial Gardens.
