Velma Marie Holzkamper

Velma Marie Holzkamper, a beloved member of the Rogers community, passed away on March 7, 2019. She was born on July 2, 1928, in Koshkonong, Mo., to the late Walter and Alta Mae (Carlile) Johnson. Velma, or "Meme" as she was known to many, will be remembered as a vivacious woman with a generous heart. In 1963 she married Phil Holzkamper, who went on to found Phil & Sons Floor Company in Rogers, and together they raised a large and loving family. Velma was a devout member of the Orthodox Catholic faith. She will be dearly missed by her 12 children, 39 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and 4 siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 sons, and 6 siblings. All are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 11, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Rollins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Benton County Memorial Park.
