Rachel Thu-Thao Nguyen

Rachel Thu-Thao Nguyen, 21, of Rogers passed away Monday, March 11, 2019. She was born October 20, 1997 in Fayetteville to Thanh Van Nguyen and Gillian Nhat Tran of Rogers, who survive. Other survivors include her brother, Tim Nguyen of Rogers; a very large extended family and dear friends. She was preceded by a grandmother, Hien Do, of Fort Smith. Miss Nguyen dealt with health challenges her entire life, but with grace and perseverance, she lived life to the fullest. Rachel loved being with family and friends. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Golden State Warriors, the Chicago Cubs and was a passionate Razorback fan. She was an absolute "Foodie", both enjoying the preparation of a wonderful meal and as an adventuresome eater. Memories for life were created when her Make A Wish came true and she flew to California to meet and share experiences with Celebrity Chef and author, Ayesha Curry. Rachel was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and their Life Teen program. Thursday, March 14, a Rosary service will begin at 4 p.m. followed by Visitation from 5:30-7 p.m. On Friday, a Rosary service will begin at 5 p.m. followed by Visitation from 6-7 p.m. all in the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers with interment to follow in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
