DeLoyse "Dee" McDonald

DeLoyse "Dee" McDonald died Thursday, March 14, 2019 at her home in Camden, Ark. She was born near Hope, Arkansas to Vernie William Goynes and Ava Erwin Goynes. She was a long-time member of Maul Road Church of Christ. Dee married Walter Tyson McDonald, Jr. (better known as Dub or Mac) on April 23, 1948 in Camden, Arkansas where they lived their fifty years of married life. Dee worked years in various locations for the U.S. Government and related Defense Agencies in the field of Personnel and Administration. She retired from Atlantic Research Corporation in Camden as Executive Secretary to the General Mamnger. Dee was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, (Virginia Goynes Benefiel), two brothers, (Kenneth Goynes and Denver Goynes), and one nephew, (Michael Poindexter). She is survived by her daughter, Christine Wilson and son-in-law, Richard of Memphis, Tennessee and Uvita Costa Rica; three grandsons, Mac Wilson of Carmel, California, Gus Wilson (Meredith) of Memphis, Tennessee, and Sam Wilson (Jennifer) of Atlanta, Georgia; two great-granddaughters, Kelia Wilson of Memphis, Tennessee and Poppy Elizabeth Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia; three nieces, Sandra Shelton of Diamond Bar, California, Jenny Poindexter of Lake Elsinor, California, and Pat Terlau (Karl) of Gilbert, Arizona; one nephew, John Goynes (Pat) of Hope, Arkansas; and several great-nieces and nephews, among them Tiffany Cambell Holler (Dave) of Anaheim, California.
