Bernard Gale Hairston

Bernard Gale Hairston passed away March 13th, 2019. He was born April 16th, 1926 in Springdale, Arkansas, to D.A. and Minnie Baggett Hairston. A two-year Navy veteran in the Pacific during World War II. Married Jessie McCoy Hairston on August 14th, 1953. He worked as a building contractor for 55 years. He was preceded in death by his sister, Christine Fitzgerald. Survived by his wife Jessie, three sons and their wives, Dennis and Lori Hairston, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Bill and Cathy Hairston, Fayetteville, Ark.; Jeff and Samantha Hairston, Midwest City, Okla.; five grandchildren Lauren Hairston Collado, Wichita, Kan.; Hayden Hairston, Little Rock Ark.; Ellis Hairston, Fayetteville, Ark.; Anna Hairston, Stillwater, Okla.; Emily Hairston, Midwest City, Okla. One great-grand child, Louisa Collado, Wichita, Kan. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24th at Oak Grove Baptist Church where he was a charter member.
