Glendon Parks Martin

Glendon Parks Martin, 64 year old resident of Gentry, Ark., died on March 22, 2019 in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born on August 22, 1954 in Hope, Ark. to Bill Martin and Bobbie Hopson Martin. Glendon graduated from Hope High School and went to work for Hudson Foods in Hope for 23 years as a live haul manager. He married Laurie Amedee on February 1, 1992. They moved to Gentry from Baton Rouge, La. Glendon was the owner and operator of Arkansas Poultry Services. He loved to grow his vegetable garden, grilling, and going to the lake to fish and drink his coffee. Glendon enjoyed driving his tractor and spending time with "Bobba." He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Martin. His survivors include his wife, Laurie; four children, Cody Martin and wife Jenifer of Houston, Texas, Clint Martin and wife Britani of Hot Springs, Ark., Jill McGhee and husband Adam of Gentry, and Travis McQuiston and partner Rusty Moore of New Orleans, La.; nine grandchildren, Katelyn, Caroline, John William, Cole, Cannon, Avery, Jackson, Seth, and Addy; mother, Bobbie Martin of Guernsey, Ark.; and brother, Gary Martin and wife Debbie of Guernsey, Ark. Funeral services will be 4 p.m., Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark., with Pastor Tim Estes officiating.
