Margaret (Margie) Buechel McGrail, 81, passed away peacefully March 11, 2019, at Brookdale Senior Living Lakeway, Texas. Margie is preceded in death by husband John P. McGrail, brother John Buechel, M.D., and parents, John and Margaret Buechel. She is survived by her son, Dennis McGrail (Carol) Austin, Texas; daughter, Colleen (Tim) Sanders McKinney, Texas; sister, Mary Ellen Sroda Scottsdale, Ariz.; and grandchildren, Veronica McGrail and Maggie, Claire and Jack Sanders. Margie was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., May 22, 1937. A graduate of Seton Hill University (Greensburg, Pa.), she taught elementary and high school for 20 years. Margie owned and operated Margie's Restore in Little Rock, specializing in treating needs of women who had endured mastectomies. This was truly her calling as she proved to be a natural at bringing comfort to those in need. Through her involvement with the American Cancer Society, she received recognition for her years of service, as well as formal accolades from many, including Former First Lady Nancy Reagan. Margie celebrated 51 years of marriage to John P. McGrail, living in Pittsburgh, Detroit and Little Rock, prior to retiring in Hot Springs Village, Ark. An avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, she cheered for her boys until her final days. She enjoyed walking the Hot Springs Village trails, singing in the church choir and was a meticulous seamstress. Margie also enjoyed many rounds of golf with her family and ladies groups at Pleasant Valley Country Club and Hot Springs Village. Margie loved her grandchildren and always provided valued words of wisdom. She was especially interested in hearing of their sporting activities as she was a very talented athlete in her own childhood. Rosary will be held Friday, March 29, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, followed by Inurnment in Sacred Heart of Jesus Columbarium.
