HERBERT EARL MANTOOTH of Little Rock, Ark., was born July 3, 1929 in Ozark, Ark., the son of the late James Thomas and Esther O'Neal Mantooth. He proudly served his country in the United States Army having fought in the Korean War. He was retired from Sears after many years of servicing radios and electronics. He enjoyed gardening, golfing and spending time with his granddaughters and great-grandchildren. Mr. Mantooth went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Evergreen Living Center in Bryant at the age of 89. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Paxton Mantooth; his daughter, Kimberly Mantooth Hodges; brothers, Jim Mantooth, Bill Mantooth, Coy Mantooth; sisters, Lottie Mantooth and Anita Turner. Survivors: granddaughters, Tonya Harvey of Little Rock, Sarah (Brandon) Webb of Cabot; great-grandsons, Avery Martin, Evan Harvey and a host of nieces, and nephews. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville.
