William H. Acklen

William H. Acklen, Sr., 81, Little Rock, departed this life April 24, 2019. He was born December 14, 1937 to the late Ezell and Odessa Lee (Bynum) Acklin in Keo, Arkansas. He served in the United States Air Force and Coast Guard. Survivors son, William Acklen, Jr. of Richmond, Va.; three sisters, Mary Francis Harrington and Louise Harris, both of Little Rock, Ark. and Erma Jean Harris of Aurora, Ill.; four brothers, James Acklin and Willie Walton, both of NLR; John Acklin of Little Rock, Ark. and Thomas Walton of Texas; two grandchildren, William H. "Tre" Acklen III and Justin R. Acklen; one great-grandchild, Ivan Acklen and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and longtime friends. Graveside services 11 a.m., Friday, May 3, 2019, Ar State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Street, NLR. Visitation: 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2019 at funeral home.
