William Howard Cook, Jr.

William Howard Cook Jr., 73, of Springdale passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019 at his home. He was born September 27, 1945 in Springdale to William Howard Cook Sr. and Velma Griggs Cook. Howard worked as a disk jockey for KBRS Radio and Springdale Morning News for many years. He was elected to two terms on the Springdale City Council. He helped develop the Springdale Animal Shelter. He loved animals, raised miniature horses and coached little league baseball. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Billy Cook. Survivors include one son, Cameren Cook of Mountainburg, Arkansas; one daughter, Jeri Thomas and husband Brandon of Springdale; one brother, Cecil Cook and wife Jimmie of Springdale and two grandchildren, Briley Thomas and Emma Thomas. A memorial service will be Friday, May 3, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Pastor Howard Garrett officiating.
