William Louis "Bill" Clark of Sheridan, Ark., passed away on May 1, 2019, at the age of 75, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Bill was born June 4, 1943, in Little Rock, Ark., to Ellis and Christine Tubbs Clark. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1961, and attended Ouachita Baptist University. He served in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 1976 to 1982, was a small business owner, entrepreneur, and a hardware sales representative until his retirement in 2009. On February 14, 1985, he married Donna (Reynolds) Holloway and remained happily married for 34 years. The joys of fatherhood came with the birth of his children, Scott and Crystal, whom he shared with former spouse Ann (Gunn) Clark. Watching them grow up to have children of their own gave him a pride that he wanted to share with everyone he met. Bill had a passion for the outdoors. He took every chance he had to hunt, fish, camp, ride horses, and raise a big garden. Some of his most cherished memories included camping on the banks of the Saline River during squirrel and deer season with his brother, Dennis, elk hunting in Colorado with his friends and family and spending as much time as possible on his beloved houseboat on the lower White River. Later in life, Bill enjoyed spending evenings at the Lockhart Social Club telling stories. He knew that life was meant to be filled with family, friends, laughter, music, art and Mother Nature. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Donny and Mark. He is survived by his wife, Donna (Reynolds) Clark; son, Scott Clark; daughter, Crystal (Michael) Woods; step-daughter, Kris Richardson; brother, Dennis Clark; granddaughters, Ashleigh (Chris) Nordin and Autumn Clark; grandsons, Will Cole and Evan Woods; step granddaughter, Alex Richardson; great grandson, Drake Nordin, another grandson, Clark Nordin who is due in October; several cousins; a nephew and a niece as well as a host of friends. Visitation for family and friends will be 1:30-3 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the Grand Hall of the Sheridan First United Methodist Church with funeral service following at 3:00 P.M.in the church.
