James Garland Cazer

James Garland Cazer (Jim), 70, departed for his heavenly home on April 28, 2019, after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Evelyn Cazer and infant brother, Joseph Edward Cazer. He is survived by his children, Chris Cazer of Arizona and Liz Cazer Baltz (Kevin) of Benton, Ark., three grandchildren, Kristin Cazer of Dewitt, Ark., Gracie Cazer of England, Ark., and Olivia Baltz of Benton, Ark. Also surviving Jim are his sister, Carol Hawkins (Dale) of Carlisle, brothers, Frank Torian (Pat) of Greenbrier and Emmet Torian of Conway, along with nieces and nephews. Jim graduated from UCA with a degree in BBA Management. He was active in student life, serving as president of his junior and senior classes, a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, and named to Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. After college he served under now deceased Congressman Wilbur Mills in Washington, D.C. He returned to Arkansas to participate in his family farming operation and went on to a career in business and financial loans. Jim enjoyed keeping informed of current affairs and political discussions. He was a devoted Razorback fan and was amazing at recalling and reciting the statistics regarding various players. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and especially his friends at Immanuel Baptist Church of Little Rock where he enjoyed fellowship and worship for many years. A memorial service is tentatively scheduled for Monday, May 13th at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church with a lunch/reception to follow.
