Wesley Juanita (Francis) Powell, 89, of Bald Knob, died Thursday, May 02, 2019 at her home. She was born June 14, 1929 in Bigelow, Ark. a daughter of the late Amos Wesley and Gola "Goldie" Francis. She was a 1947 graduate of Russellville High School. She and her late husband, David Robert "Bob" Powell owned and operated Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob since 1960 and was a long-time member of the Central Baptist Church. Mrs. Powell had been very active in community activities through the years having served as President of the Business and Professional Womens Club, New Hope Specialized Industries Board of Directors, Bald Knob Garden Club, Beta Sigma Phi sorority and many others. She is survived by her son, David R. Powell, Jr. and wife Cathy; daughter, Cindy Powell Keedy and husband Ken; grandchildren, David Powell, III, Tammy Powell Bennett (Keith), Mark Waller, Emily Powell, Samantha Keedy and Jamie Keedy (Jeri Beth); great-grandchildren, Nicole, Robby and Ben Powell, Victoria Mahoney, Elizabeth Taylor, Kassidy Cramblett, Madison Dodd, Camdyn Sutton, Hunter Hennings, Melody, J.J. and Brandon Keedy, Allie Lawrence and Grayson and Breckin Bernicken; great-great-grandchildren, Boston Powell, Jameson Mahoney, Brooks and Davis Cramblett and Bentley Powell. She was preceded in death by seven sisters, one brother and a grandson, Lance Hunter. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob.
