Julia Craig

Julia Callahan Craig, 80, of Judsonia, passed away April 25, 2019, at Unity Health in Searcy. She was born September 30, 1938, at Somerville, Mass., to the late James and Elizabeth Clarke Callahan. Mrs. Craig was a graduate of Cambridge High and Latin in Cambridge, Mass. where she was raised. She was an avid quilter, reader, and lover of animals. She met her husband of 62 years, James Craig, while he was in the Navy, and they united in marriage February 27, 1957, at Cambridge, Mass.; he survives. Along with being a beloved wife, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. She leaves five daughters, Elizabeth Bach (Kenneth) of South Hadley, Mass., Linda Craig and Mary Ellen Craig both of Judsonia, Jeanette Peters (John) of Searcy, and Faith Fisher (Brad) of Vilonia; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ellen Nelson of Little Rock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019, in the Sullivan Memorial Chapel.
