He leaves to cherish memories: his wife Elgie Pettus; children: Barron Nelson, Reginald Butler (Derline), Tiffany Pettus, Tanisha Pettus Bell (Eric), James Pettus III, Brian Pettus (Tashia), Jason Pettus (Monica), Terrilyn Pettus-Jones (Chris), Derrick Hines (Cantrenia), Marcia Barbee, Nakisha Barbee, Thomas Barbee, siblings, Janice Lee Murphy, Verneal Booth, Rosie Green, Dorothy Kelley, Ira Jean Lewis (William), Roosevelt Pettus, Troy Pettus (Judy), Shirley Williams (Timothy), Joann Pettus, Kenneth Pettus, Lawrence Pettus, 34 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
