Jerrell Ray Huitt, of Little Rock, died Sunday May 5, 2019. He was 82 years old. Jerrell was born on January 28, 1937 in Hermitage, AR. The only child of the late Clarence and Carrie Huitt. He retired as a project engineer with Alcoa. He was a member of Ironton Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Huitt, son, Terry Huitt, and granddaughter, Dana Huitt. In 1958, he married Louise McCumpsey Huitt and they were married for 50 years prior to her death. They had three children – Michael (Paula), Terry (Maureen), and Brenda (John), seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. In 2012, he married Hannah Childs Huitt. He has four step-children, Cheryl (Max), Philip (Penny), Debra (Michael), and Pamela (David). There are a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Ironton Baptist Church on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. Services will be at Ironton Baptist Church on Saturday May 11, 2019 at 10 a.m. Burial is in Ironton Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ironton Baptist Cemetery fund. Ministers are Dr. Sidney Thompson and Dr. William "Bill" Bowen. Pallbearers are Jeremy Huitt, Caleb Mayes, Brad Stanley, Heath Childs, Michael Coker and Scott McCumpsey. Ryan Zieglar, Will Staley, Nic Staley and Abel Staley.
