Cathy Jo West

Cathy Jo West, 61, of Cabot, passed away November 13, 2019. She was born December 6, 1957 in Rockford, Illinois to Wesley Leon and Jewell Bernice Palmer Morton. Cathy had a thirty-year career as an oncology nurse and she loved her patients. She enjoyed going to deer camp and fishing. Cathy will be remembered for her forgiving spirit, strong faith, infectious smile and contagious laugh, but most of all for the importance she placed on her family and the love that she had for each of them. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janie Dye. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy West; daughters, Stephanie Ramsey (Jeremy) of Vilonia and Heather Chasteen (Steven) of Cabot; son, Brandon West (Terrah) of Little Rock; five grandchildren, Sydney Reeder, Carson Chasteen, Lydia, Luke and Noah Ramsey; parents, Leon and Mary Morton of Morrilton and Bernice and Roger Taylor of Black Rock; brother, Norman Hill of Oklahoma and many friends and extended family members. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Tony Martinez officiating. Interment will follow in Old Austin Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday, November 18, 2019 at the funeral home.
