She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Bruce, her daughter, Lisa Huffman, her brother, Richard Box and her parents. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Laura Whiteside, son-in-law, Tracy, son, Brent Huddleston, nephew, Stoney Box and his mother Mary Box of Rogers, Ark. and great-nephew, Seth Box of Valdez, Alaska. Tate Whiteside and Haley Huffman of Little Rock, Darby Harrell (Michael) and three great-grandchildren, Lucah, Ruby and Maude Harrell of Jenks, Okla. Rita and Bruce split their time living in Searsport, Maine and Little Rock, Ark. for the last 30 plus years. Rita was a people person and had many lifelong friends that she loved very much. She was always going out to lunch, bridge or parties and had an active social calendar. Rita was our "Martha Stewart". She was an amazing decorator and party planner. All of our family holiday gatherings were made special because each one had a theme and she would go all out in the decorating and each year the theme would be different. She loved her grandchildren and great grand-children, loved to work jigsaw puzzles and her love of Dr. Pepper was known by all that knew her. She loved to garden and always had beautiful flowers she loved to take care of. She was an amazing painter, artist, writer and especially great at crafts. She was well known for all of the amazing things she created and known for her Santa's. Rita left us way too soon and will be missed greatly by all that knew and loved her. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, November 23rd, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 W.
