Shelby Jean Gray, 63, of Ward, Arkansas died on Saturday November 16, 2019 at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on July 30, 1956 in England, Arkansas to Lester and Eunice Faye Loftis. Shelby was a 1973 graduate of Lonoke High School. She met the love of her life Jerry Gray while working at Golf Carts of Arkansas and they married on December 31, 1988. She was a master gardener, collected cow memorabilia, and was an amazing care taker for her aging mother and sister LouEllen. She was a devoted wife, grandmother, sister , aunt and friend to all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Jerry of Ward, Arkansas, three daughters Melanie Melgaard of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, Keya Justice of Warsau, Indiana, and Jerri (Alan) Opland Eau Claire, Wisconsin, five grandchildren Danielle, Chloe, Mason, Ryan and Dawson; two great-grandchildren Sterling Nevin and Addison, also brothers and sisters, Earl (Darlene) Loftis, Francis (Ken) Talbert and LouEllen Lemons, Mary Evans, Barbara (Roy) Green, Vickie (Bob) King and many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Tommy Loftis and Ken Cullum, sister, Betty Hughes, brothers-in-law, Bill Evans, JR. Applegate, son-in-law, Ken Melgaard and grandson, Nevin Melgaard. Funeral Service will be at 5 p.m. Thursday November 21, 2019 at Rolling Hills Golf Course Banquet room, 271 Randy Beaver Drive, Cabot, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. before the service.
