She is preceded in death by her parents: Sydney Avery Sr., Dessie Elders; son: William Gray III; siblings: Theodore, Roy, Sydney Jr., Cleo Avery, and Josephene Avery Reed. She leaves to cherish her memory: husband: Johnny Buchanan; daughter: Jennifer Denise Gray; siblings: Rita Avery Ticey, Loretta Avery Giggers, Lucille, Kenneth, Belinda, Beatrice Avery, Rosena Avery Smith, Patricia Avery Wofford, grandchildren: Azzarriah, Aunesti, Aviannah, Masharri, Bralyn, Kalyn and a host of other family and friends.
