Christy Renee Shuffield

Christy Renee Shuffield, age 50, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Thursday, November 21, 2019. She was born on August 17, 1969, in Monroe, La., the daughter of Bobby Dave and Barbara Bost Watson. Christy was a 1987 graduate of Bismarck High School, a 1991 graduate of Henderson State University, and received her Master's degree in 1993 from the University of Central Arkansas. She was a speech language pathologist with Dawson Education Service Cooperative. Christy was a member of Second Baptist Church in Arkadelphia and was a former member of the Junior Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, board games, puzzles, spending time with family and sharing her faith with others. Christy is survived by her husband, Paul Dean Shuffield, Jr. of Arkadelphia; her parents, Bob and Barbara Watson of Bismarck; three sons, Nicholas & Harrison Shuffield of Arkadelphia, and Bradley Shuffield (Amanda) of Bismarck; and her brother, Brad Watson (Kim) of Austin, Texas, and their three sons, Grant & Connor Watson & Greg (Chelsea) Philpot. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at Second Baptist Church with Bro. Stan Parris and Louie Heard officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday at the church. Pallbearers will be Nicholas, Bradley, Harrison, and Ryan Shuffield, and Connor and Grant Watson. Honorary pallbearers will be the DESC Special Education Department.
