Clyde Dewayne Gosvener, 84, of Springdale, left this walk of life Saturday October 5, 2019. He was born May 15, 1935 in Hindsville, Ark., the son of the late, Atlas and Anna Beach Gosvener. He was a member of Rivers of Mercy Church and had served in the United States Army. Clyde loved the Lord, his family and his church family. He loved to play the fiddle and play blue grass music. Clyde earned the title of Fiddler of the Year in 1969. He was preceded in death by his brothers; Loy Gosvener, Leonard Gosvener, James Clifford Gosvener; sister, Deloris Oxford and his granddaughter, Amber Gail Gosvener. He is survived by his daughter, Twila Newton and husband Hal of Springdale, Ark.; son, David Gosvener and wife Lorraine of Springdale, Ark.; grandchildren, Andrea Filbeck, Leanna Mackey, Joshua Ivy; six great-grandchildren and multitudes of cousins and Blue Grass musicians. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Colbaugh Church, 6920 Highway 45, Hindsville, Ark., 72738 with Johnny Baker officiating, with burial to follow at Colbaugh Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home 3926 Willowood Avenue Springdale, Ark., 72762.
