MIldred Inez Manwarren

Mildred Inez Manwarren, age 91, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Edgwood Nursing and Rehab in Springdale. She was born on May 7, 1928, in Hominy, Okla., to Raymond A. and Stella Inez (Jones) Clayton. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence Manwarren, Sr.; and her son, Clarence Manwarren, Jr. Mildred was accomplished in the area of education and received her Bachelor of Arts from Sterling College in Kansas, her Master of Science in agriculture and applied science from Fort Hays Kansas State College and a Doctor of Applied Science from Oklahoma State University. She went on to teach reading as a professor at the University of Arkansas. In her free time, she enjoyed painting, sewing and various crafts. She devoted a lot of time to studying her Bible. She is survived by her four children, Linda Prewitt and husband Danny of Fayetteville, Gary Manwarren of Purdy, Mo., Roger Manwarren of Fayetteville, and Bonnie Kearney and husband John of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at the chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
