A private family graveside service will be held at the Idaho State Veteran's Cemetery. The story of a great man who never met a stranger and could make anyone laugh began on October 17th, 1960 in a US Army Hospital in Massachusetts. Pat was a decorated military veteran of an eventful career. He touched the lives of many through his volunteer work, military service, and dedication to his family. He had a joke for every occasion and a unique predisposition to life's obstacles - even cancer. He will forever be remembered as a good man with a lot of love to give. While serving in the Air Force and working for the Pony Express in Texas Pat met the love of his life, Sherry. They married 1990 on the 4th of July, joking that America celebrated with them. Pat claimed his greatest accomplishments were his five children: Pat II and his wife Heather [Hot Springs] Caitlin [Seattle], Cody and Quinten [Fayetteville], and Meghan [Searcy]. He is also survived by mother Amelia; sister Dana; and grand-daughter Sophie; and preceded in death by his father Pat. Arrangements by Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
