Irene Wilson Parks, 91, of North Little Rock passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019. She was born April 6, 1928 in Humphrey, Arkansas to the late Harley and Viola Wilson. She was known as "Granny I" to many. She retired from Memorial Hospital after several years of service as a loving and dedicated nurse. She spent many years involved in the Methodist church and was part of the quilting ministry at Levy Methodist. Irene was an excellent seamstress, a great cook, and a lover and rescuer of animals. "Granny I" is survived by her son-in-law, J.M. Crites; brother, Bobby Wilson (Carol); two sisters-in-law, Jeannie Dearing and Judy Wilson; two grandsons, Tony Crites (Brenda) and Tod Crites; four great-grandchildren, Lacy Sullivan (Nathan), Christopher Crites, Mariah Martz (Jordan) and Tori Crites; three great-great-grandchildren, Cooper Sullivan, Reese Sullivan and Sawyer Martz; and many extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Parks; daughter, Diane Crites; two brothers, Arthur and Kenneth Wilson; and a sister-in-law, Linda Wilson. Memorials may be made to North Little Rock Animal Shelter, 1 Championship Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116.
