CHARLES K. BEWLEY, of Little Rock, passed away on October 17, 2019 at the age of 81. Lovingly known as Papaw Charles, he was a great husband, father, Papaw and great Papaw and was loved by many. He was born in Little Rock on March 16, 1938 to the late John A. Bewley and Rettie Eslick Bewley. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Delena Hooe and Betty Bentley, two brothers, Raymond Bewley and John Henry Bewley. He is a graduate of Tech High School, was a member of Oak Park Baptist Church and is a retired Captain of the Little Rock Fire Department. He enjoyed time with family and riding his four wheeler. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Lula Mae (Goodwin) Bewley; three children, Sharon (Bobby) Leonard, Charlene (Larry) Haynes, Wayne (Tonya) Bewley; grandchildren, Jason, Christy (Josh), Jeremy, Ryan, Austin; great grandchildren, Brett, Keegan, Brock, Laikynn; sister, Evelyn Evans (Ralph) and brother, Eleck Bewley (Peggy). Funeral services will be held noon on Monday, October 21st at Little Rock Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 20th from 2–4 p.m., at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, AR. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Park Baptist Church, 8200 Flintridge Rd., Little Rock, Ark., 72210.
