Willa Mae (Jones) Westerfield, 83, of Jacksonville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, October 21, 2019. She was born December 11, 1935, in McHue, Arkansas to Clarence and Maggie (Seymore) Jones of McHue. Willa was a devoted wife of 50 years, mother and homemaker who most enjoyed spending time and orchestrating events with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, and watching sporting events with her husband Lavaughn. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville and will be dearly missed by her family, many friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband LaVaughn Westerfield, her parents and five siblings, her son-in-law, Bobby Nation, and one granddaughter, Jessica Westerfield. She is survived by her three children, Vanessa Nation of Jacksonville, Donna (Pete) Pedersen of Cabot and Philip (Debbie) Westerfield of LaVista, Nebraska; six grandchildren, Joshua (Stephanie) and David (Lindsay) Nation, Ashley (Aaron) Gann, Kenny Pedersen, Madeline (Jeffrey) Krueger, and John Westerfield as well as 10 great-grandchildren with one due in February. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2019, at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel, followed by interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 909 W.
