Dorothy Markart Ernst

Dorothy Markart Ernst, age 100, passed away September 26, 2019 at Circle of Life Hospice. She was born April 5th, 1919 to Ward and Verna Croswell Sr. in Escanaba, Michigan. In 1936 Dorothy graduated high school in Escanaba, Michigan and earned an Associate degree at the business school in Lansing, Michigan. She married her first husband Roy Sinclair April 12, 1958 and Raymond Ernst in 1974. Dorothy was a past president and treasurer of Beta Sigma Phi of Detroit, Michigan. She served as a past president of the Bella Vista Garden Club and a past president of the Bella Vista Women's Club. She is survived by stepson Bill Sinclair and wife Jan, Eric Ernst and wife Nancy; granddaughters Julie, Sieren and Allison Ernst; and over 60 nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and great-grandnieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, November 11th at Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista with Pastor Dennis Ritchie officiating.
