JoAnn Kay Shaver

JoAnn Kay Shaver, age 75, of Bella Vista died Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Circle of Life Hospice House located in Bentonville. She was born September 15, 1943 in Altamont, S. D. She was the 2nd of 8 children born to Clarence and Sylvia Hartsel. She went to school in Clear Lake, S. D., and graduated in 1961. She married Eugene Lee Shaver on May 24, 1964 in Clear Lake, S. D. They were married for 42 years before Eugene passed away in 2012. In August 1966 she began her family with Tammy, then Scott in 1969. There were only two children until 1982 when Nathan was born. She, Eugene, and Nathan moved to Bella Vista, Ark., in 1996 where she lived until her passing. She worked bringing "her babies" into the world as a nurse on the obstetrics ward until she retired in the mid 2000's. She was a great person and was always helping others. When time allowed, she enjoyed going to Branson, Mo., to watch the entertainment and traveling to visit her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by: her husband; Eugene, and her parents. She is survived by: her son; Nathan and his wife; Jen, of Bella Vista, her son; Scott and his wife Diane, of Albuquerque, N. M., and daughter; Tammy and her husband Alan, of Aberdeen, S. D., her grandchildren; Christopher, Tanya, Zachary, Brittany, Nolan, Christian, Joshua, and Alexis, her great-grandchildren; Charli, Carter, Hayden, and Aviyah, and her siblings. Words can not express how much the family loves JoAnn, and she made her children the people they are today. The family loves you, always. Till we see you again some day. We love you.
