Colonel Elvin K. Nading, USAF, retired, 84, 2 tours in Vietnam, longtime Rogers resident, died on August 13, 2019 in Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St Louis. Elvin Nading, El, was born in Iowa; graduated from the University of Iowa, then entered the Air Force. Stationed all over the US, Canada, Vietnam, and Japan. He was on many Inspector General teams and traveled the world. 1973 married Dale Elizabeth Smith in Colorado Springs and they were married for 46 years. El was a munitions officer, and they're known as Ammo guys. It is fitting that he retired to Rogers, home of Daisy BB gun. Ammunition, bomb guys are nicknamed BB stackers. With his training and education, he became active with the Beaver Lake Fire Dept, the American Red Cross and pushing forward academics and the Academic Competition in Education (3 counties.) Survived by his wife, children, brother, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. El loved his family, and liked every volunteer he met. He will be greatly missed by those he loved and who loved him. He received a request. This request was a reunion with those who had preceded him, his parents, brother, son and family and friends he's not seen in a long time.
