Marvin Treat

Marvin C. Treat, age 86, of Springdale, died Thursday, September 12, 2019. He was born February 6, 1933 in Marshall, Arkansas, the son of Homer Treat and Eula Treece Treat. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Juanita McClellan and brother Willard Treat. Marvin is survived by his wife, Doris Jeane of the home; children Joy Marshall, Linda Treat, Martin Treat and Michael Treat, all of Fayetteville; step-son Mark Bickford of Fayetteville and step-daughter Diana Wheaton of Evergreen, Colorado; nice Jeannie Kisner of Cane Hill, Arkansas. Marvin was drafted into the U. S. Army shortly after graduating Fayetteville High School. He served from April 7, 1953 to March 22, 1955 with rank of PFC during the Korean War. He retired in 1993 after 35 years at Standard Register in Fayetteville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and mountain bike riding in his younger years. Reading was his passion and he had a book within reach always. Above all was his faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
