Patricia "Pat" Sue Mitchell

Patricia "Pat" Sue Mitchell, age 77, passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. She was born on December 5, 1941, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Paul and Lavelle (Duggar) Congour. She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Carl Mitchell; and her grandson, Christian Mitchell. Pat attended college at the University of Arkansas where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in nursing. She went on to work many years for The Fayetteville Diagnostic Clinic. Pat then took a job with Washington Regional Medical Center where she eventually retired. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Springdale. She was first and foremost a devoted wife and mother. Pat loved her church and was very active and involved with her Sunday school and loved her church family. Pat loved spending time with her grandkids and was adored by close friends. She is survived by her three children, Elizabeth McClinton and husband Kenneth, David Mitchell and wife Jennifer, and Mark Mitchell all of Fayetteville; her sister, Peggy Attebery of Magnolia, Arkansas; her seven grandchildren, Sam McClinton, Isaac McClinton, Mary McClinton, Sierra Mitchell, McKenzie Mitchell and fiance'e Niki Barr, Aidan Pierse and Aria Mitchell; one great-grandson, Evan Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 10–11 a.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at Moore's Chapel Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
