Alpha Lousie Godair

Alpha Louise Barker, 79 of Carlisle left this world to be with the Lord, Friday September 13, 2019. She was born December 14, 1939 to Albert and Dorthy Mitchell Barker. Her proudest title was "Grammy". She was the epitome of a housewife, mother, and grandmother. Her selfless actions and giving heart will be her most memorable traits. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Charles Henry "Bo" Barker. She survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Truman A Godair, two daughters Linda (Dennis) Henley and Terri (Dee) Davis, one granddaughter Hilary (MaShawn) James, and lastly the two lights of her life her great-grandchildren, Grant and Maggie James. She also survived by her brother Albert Barker Jr., two sisters Ethel Henderson and Francis Rhodes, and the best group of nieces and nephews she could have asked for. A private family service will be held from 5-6 p.m. with a public visitation following from 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 20th at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. www.boydfuneralhome.net.
