Barbara Jean Swift

Barbara J. (Hogan) Swift, at the age of 82 went to meet her God on September 20, 2019. Barbara was born September 15, 1937 to Lonnie L. and Margaret Pearl Hogan of North Little Rock, Arkansas, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her best friend and sister, Betty Sue Hogan Monroe. She was a graduate of North Little Rock High School in 1955. Barbara worked all her life, mostly in the medical field. She worked for seven years for Mr. Sam Winstead, and Baptist medical Center for over a year. She retired from Radiology Consultants of Little Rock in 2007 after fifteen years of employment. In the 1980's she held the office of President and other positions with the Rambling Rose Chapter of the American Business Women's Association. Barbara is survived by her husband, Russell E. Swift of forty-nine years, originally of Evansville, Indiana; her daughter, Loni Renee Hunsaker Harrison and Butch of Little Rock , AR; step- daughter, Leslie Barton Evans of Lonoke, Ark.; step-son, Tom Swift of Little Rock, Ark.; granddaughter, Shawna Renee Hunsaker Brock and Roger; grandson, Jeremy Wayne Hunsaker and Bethany; five great-grandchildren, Kendal Reese Brock, Ashlyn Faith Brock, Cooper Davis Brock and Carolyn Haze and Anderson Hunsaker all of South Carolina; step granddaughter, Kimberley Daniels of Heber Springs, Ark. with great-grandkids, Madelyn, Mack and Macy Daniel; three step-grandsons, Thomas Russell Swift and Mitzi, Thomas Keith James, and Russell Blake Swift. She also leaves behind a wonderful nephew, Patrick Mark DeMasi and wife Cindy of Benton. She was close to her first cousin, Reverend Johnny Glaze of North Little Rock. In lieu of flowers you may donate to Pulaski County Humane Society, 14600 Colonel Glenn Rd, Little Rock, Ark. 72210 in her name. A gathering of friends and family will be Sunday, September 29th at 2:00pm., at 7102 Briarwood Dr., Little Rock, Ark. 72205. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
