Barbara G. Allen

Barbara G. Allen, 78, of North Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020. She was born on August 3, 1941 to the late Fred Lawrence and Ila (English) Lawrence in Letona. They shortly moved to Searcy, where she grew up. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, James Murray Allen. Barbara was a member of Fellowship North and loved her family there. She enjoyed doing yard work, which she mowed her yard until she was 77 years old; knitting and teaching fitness classes at the Hays Senior Center. Barbara is survived by two sons, Craig Allen (Tina) and Donnie Allen both from North Little Rock; daughter, Kim Harper (Ted) of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren: Logan Allen, Andrea Whitman, Haley Harper, Ethan Harper, and David Allen; one great-granddaughter, Landyn Whitman; and two brothers, Carroll Lawrence (Jean) and Charles Lawrence. The family would like to thank the kindness and loving care from the nurses and doctors at Baptist North. Graveside service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
