Joyce Geraldine Bennett

Joyce Geraldine (Walker) Bennett, 86, of Searcy, Ark., was greeted by angels and her Lord and Savior on July 31, 2020 as she stepped into Heaven with family by her side. Joyce was born October 22, 1933 in O'Kean, Ark., to Lonnie and Dora Walker. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Husband, Don Bennett, Son, Wendell Bennett, Brothers, Deloss and Denver Walker and one sister Glenda Pigue. She is survived by her brother Darrell (Patricia) Walker of Pocahontas, Ark., Brother-in-law, Ewell Von Pigue of Hot Springs, Daughters, Janice (Mike) Wright and Jacque (Randall) Wyatt, both of Searcy, Ark. Her grandchildren, Micah (Tyson) Gooch of Conway, Ark., Ty (Jenny) Wright of Searcy, Ark., Bailey (Cody) Coughlin of Anchorage, Alaska, Sydney (Cody) Davis of Searcy, Tyler Wallace of Bald Knob and Mallory Wyatt of Searcy, Ark. Her great grandchildren, Tatum, Jaxon and Ella Rose Wright of Searcy and Remi Cate and Anniston Gooch of Conway, Ark. Also an extended list of family and friends. Joyce was a long time resident of Bald Knob, Ark., where she farmed with her husband and son. She was a member of Worden Baptist Church in Bald Knob, Ark. She was the most loving, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and her smile would comfort and brighten anyone's day she came in contact with. She was a light and true reflection of God's compassion, mercy and strength. "Mom Bennett" as her grandchildren referred to her, embodied all that was good in this world and it was evident with each and every breath. To know her was to love her and if you were a friend, you were a friend for life! Funeral services will be private graveside service at Shady Grove Cemetery in Bald Knob, Ark., with Bro. Paul Bearfield officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Worden Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 811, Bald Knob, Ark., 72010.
