JEWELL ERNESTINE "TINA" (BENNETT) CHIPMAN, (94) passed away on August 6, 2020 and is reunited with her husband of 66 years, Thomas Albert Chipman Sr., her parents, Ernest and Edna (Robert) Bennett, her beloved grandparents, brothers Sloan and Robert Bennett, grandsons Adam Thomas Lefler and Michael Aaron Halpain, aunts, uncles, and numerous in-laws. She was born and raised in Minturn, Arkansas on October 27, 1925. Those left behind to miss her words of comfort, loving arms, family stories, wit, cooking, and feistiness are her children: Becky Chipman, Tom Chipman Jr., (Kaye Baskerville), Kat Glisich (Chuck Gilbert), Linde (Mike) Halpain, Karla (Jim) Doyle, and Kara (John) Barre'. Her grandchildren: Erik and Erin Chipman, John (Kiley) Lefler, Rachel (Casey) Hook, Chris (Jenny) Halpain, Matt (Anna) Doyle,Katie (Dustin) Thomas, Grant (Lindsey) Bowman, Hayley (Gram) Booth, Lauren Chandler, Michael (Melissa) Barre', and Emily (Jay) Kelly. Her great-grandchildren: Adam and Emme Lefler, Ellis and Isaac Hook, Amelia Halpain, Jackson and Jeremiah Halpain, Rose and Alice Doyle, Breeann Bowman, Caleb and Hannah Bowman, and Jack and Matthew Kelly. She is also survived by numerous beloved nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws. Tom and Tina were the owners of Chip's Barbecue in Little Rock for 52 years and are fondly remembered by their former employees and customers. She had an unshakable Catholic faith and was a Charter Member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock. She was also passionate about saving the rights of the unborn and was a past president of Arkansas Right to Life. Though her wisdom and love will be missed, she was ready to be reunited with Jesus and her loved ones. As her health began to decline, she was never without her rosary clutched in her hand. The family would like to thank Dr. Benny Green, the staff at Hospice Home Care, as well as Fr. Tuyen. Due to Covid-19, a private family rosary and funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, Aug 12 at 1:30 p.m. (Rosary) and 2 p.m. (Mass), with Fr. Erik Pohlmeier officiating. Graveside service will immediately follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park on Hwy 5.
