Pamela Gale Krievans, age 71, of Cave Springs, Ark., passed away on August 10, 2020. Pamela was born in Pine Bluff on December 23, 1948. She spent most of her adult life in Little Rock, Ark. She graduated with her Bachelor of Nursing degree from the University of Central Arkansas. She moved to northwest Arkansas to continue her nursing career with the VA Hospital. While serving at the VA, she went on to earn her Master of Nursing degree from the University of Phoenix. She dutifully served countless veterans and served in various nursing capacities for over 45 years before she retired in 2014. Pamela, and her husband Pete, were married in 1973, and they recently celebrated 47 years of marriage. Pamela is preceded in death by her father, Edwin Mitcham, of Pine Bluff, Ark. Pamela is survived by her mother, Juanita Mitcham. She is also survived by her husband, Pete and their three children, Robin and her husband, Mark Aprea, Holly and her husband, Brent Chadick, and Kyle, and his wife, Sydney Krievans, all of Cave Springs, Ark. Pamela was blessed with seven grandchildren, Logan, Ella, Autumn, Beau, Brett, Shelbi and Chase. She had one great-grandchild, Brantley. Pamela rescued many dogs over the years and will be missed by Kandi and Bella. She bribed them with hot dogs and cheese and she was never out of their sight. Pamela loved an occasional glass of wine or a margarita on the rocks. Her years of nursing perfected her ability to give with a heart of gold and always open ears to listen to the needs of others. She truly was a hero to many. Pamela poured her heart and soul into her family and raised her children to be independent, compassionate and fiercely loyal. Pamela will be missed for her generous nature, stubborn streak and loving spirit. Pete will continue to plant wildflowers and sunflowers in their backyard for her to enjoy.
