Our family and community sadly lost a beloved pillar on Sunday, December 6, 2020, when MRS. JACQUELYN DIANNE BRUCE, 68 years old, known as Jackay, entered the gates of Heaven with her family virtually by her side. Jackay was a 1971 graduate of Horace Mann High School. She contributed to the lives of many students through her years of employment with the Little Rock School District serving in several professions. In 2018, she retired from the Little Rock School District as an Information Technology Specialist. She was a founding member of Theressa Hoover Memorial United Methodist Church and Better Community Development Inc. She volunteered her time with the children and youth programs as well as securing and maintaining computers for Paw Paw's Day Care and the Youth Activity Center. Jackay was an expert seamstress, cook extraordinaire and brilliant computer analyst. She loved her husband, children, family, friends and especially her grandsons. Jackay is survived by the community and her loving husband of 50 years, Mr. Charlie Bruce Sr., their son; Charlie "Cye" Bruce (LaShanna) and daughter Kia Bruce-Ojikau (Emeka) of Houston, Texas and eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her father, Rev. Dr. William H.
